Sense Engineering opens new office in Ottawa, with Albert Celli leading the charge

Any time a business expands their geographical presence, it’s reason to celebrate, but this time it’s especially exciting. As of October 2019, Sense Engineering (headquartered in Vancouver) opened a new office in our Nation’s capital, Ottawa, Ontario. The new operation is in particularly good hands, with Albert Celli – a respected and seasoned professional in engineering design, management and business development roles, who has worked with the likes of Halsall Associates (now WSP) and Bassi Construction.

Ottawa was a logical choice

Pardon the pun but Ottawa just made sense to us. In addition to being the epicenter of Canada’s political policy-making – much of which impacts our industry, the city is also in the middle of an unprecedented building and infrastructure boom.

Albert’s wealth of experience puts us in good stead for a fruitful and productive future in Ottawa. His in-depth familiarity with everything from structural engineering and restoration engineering to capital planning/property condition assessments and green building design is fortified by his demonstrated ability to build and lead great teams. In 2004, Albert moved to Ottawa and grew the Halsall Associates team from 15 to almost 50 in less than 5 years. During his 20 years at Halsall, Albert worked closely alongside Sense Engineering executives, Ted, Brennan, Bill and Stéphan – where they established great mutual respect for one another, not to mention professional synchronicity and friendship. Collectively they share a common passion to be every client’s trusted advisor, build awesome teams and have fun!

Albert’s consulting background combined with construction experience has made him a strong believer in the power of collaboration between all stakeholders, from owners to contractors and trades. His respect for clear project communication from beginning to end helps put everyone at ease and mitigates risk throughout the process.
